Julie's Favorite Desserts

Never Fail Fudge Ingredients:

  • 2 and 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 small can evaporated milk (5 oz.)
  • 1 7 and 1/2 oz jar Fluff
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 11.5 oz. package milk chocolate chips
Alternate Options
  • 10 oz. package peanut butter chips
  • 10 oz. package pumpkin spice chips

Combine sugar, butter/margarine, evaporated milk, marshmallow fluff, and salt.
Stir over low heat until blended.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, do not mistake air bubbles for boiling.
Boil slowly constantly stirring for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and choice of chips until melted.
Pour into buttered 9x9 pan.
Cool on wire rack.

This recipe can be found on the back of any fluff container and was a holiday favorite every year. It is called never fail because if you cook the mixture too long the fudge will be hard and crumbly. If you do not cook the mixture long enough the mixture will be soft. Either way the fudge will still be a hit.
